Fall Fun!
Today, we decided to head out of town to a nearby festival that receives a lot of good reviews. Now, we know why... it was an absolute blast!!! Ethan rode a horse for the first time...
We came home with new coffee mugs from a pottery artisan...
Enjoyed some delicious fried apple pies lovingly prepared by the fire department, and drank some hot coffee...
And the kids enjoyed "hot buttery corn".
This is one pleased husband with his hot apple pie and coffee!
They also had a petting zoo, which we refrained from participating in, however the kids loved pointing at the cows and hearing them moo! They even heard some horses whinny which really made them laugh! It's the little things...

Catching up
We have been pretty busy lately, but enjoying our time together. One of Ethan's friends invited us to her 3rd birthday party at Lake Tobosofkee where the kids had a great time pretending to be sharks, splashing in the water, and digging up blue clay which was pretty awesome! It's like having endless amounts of sculpting clay at your disposal, and a lot less messy than playing with it at home.
We then traveled on over to Lake Sinclair to visit Grandma and Raddy at their lake house. They have invested quite a bit into this family heirloom of a house. The kids enjoyed playing on the new screened in porch as well as walking down to the dock to check out the water.

Finally, a deal on pumpkins led to the purchase of THREE of these fall favorites with which I could not help myself. I HAD to paint! Now it's pretty difficult to get the boys past the front door because they want to check out those pumpkins.

Water Works Park
This past weekend, we ventured out to a local park to let the boys play. They had a blast navigating all the obstacles, climbing, and exploring this new turf. We will definitely be going back!

Ethan's best friend, Chase, came to play also! These boys are attached to each other and act like brothers. In fact, before Chase's baby brother arrived, he used to claim Knox as HIS baby, which is a good thing since at that time, Ethan was in denial that Knox belonged to him.

This bowl apparatus provided much spinning pleasure for the kiddos... and a little whiplash as Ethan is here demonstrating.
Should have known something was up with Knox when he didn't want to play anymore. He loves to lay on his Daddy, especially when he's not feeling well. The poor kiddo has been sick all week with fever and "other stuff".
Ethan actually posed for this one.
This is my stack of books I'm currently working on, all at the same time! Some, I have read before and am reading for a 3rd or 4th time, but others came recommended by friends. Since Knox is keeping me home from work, I've been able to enjoy some good reading time while he naps. Yay for some normalcy!!!

Randomness
Heidi and Ethan had so much fun playing together on our most recent trip to Grandma's house!
We tried a group photo of all the youngest grandchildren, however Sam had better things to do... if it had been up to Knox, he would have been outta' there like Sam.
We bought Knox his first pair of real shoes which he has really enjoyed since they give him access to walking outside.
Finally, captured Sam in a picture! This kid is tough to get a picture of!

The boys have new beds. So far, everything is going well. Knox is sleeping great in his big boy bed and Ethan doesn't need a bedrail anymore! They are growing up so fast!
